Learn to Build Worlds That Matter
Our program teaches you how to design game environments that players actually remember.
Most game levels are forgettable. Corridors that look the same. Rooms without purpose. Spaces that don't tell stories. We think that's boring.
Over the past eight years, we've taught about 200 people how to design 3D levels. Some went on to work at studios in Cluj and Bucharest. Others started their own projects. A few decided game design wasn't for them—and that's fine too.
What made the difference? They learned to think spatially. To understand how players move through space. To create environments that communicate without words.

Three Ways to Start
Your experience level determines where you begin. Pick the path that sounds most like you.
Foundation Track
You've never opened Blender or Unity. Maybe you play games and wonder how levels are made. You're starting from zero.
- Basic 3D modeling with Blender
- Understanding game engines
- Spatial design principles
- Your first playable space
Builder Track
You know your way around Unity or Unreal. You've made some levels but they feel empty. You want them to be better.
- Environmental storytelling
- Player psychology and flow
- Lighting and mood
- Complete level portfolio piece
Portfolio Intensive
You're applying to studios and need professional-quality work. You have the skills but need focused guidance and critique.
- One major portfolio project
- Weekly mentor reviews
- Industry presentation standards
- Direct feedback from working designers
Rareș Vasiloiu
Technical LeadWorked on level design for two published titles. Teaches the technical side—optimization, lighting systems, how to make things actually run smoothly.
Ana Munteanu
Design MentorBackground in architecture before switching to games. Focuses on spatial thinking and how environments guide player behavior without being obvious about it.
Dorin Petrescu
Portfolio AdvisorSpent five years at a Bucharest studio. Reviews everyone's work and helps polish portfolio pieces until they're actually ready to show people.
How the 8 Months Unfold
This is what the full Foundation to Builder journey looks like. Each phase builds on the last one.
Tools and Thinking
Months 1-2You learn Blender basics and how game engines work. But more importantly, you start thinking about space differently. How does a room feel? Where does your eye go first?
- 3D modeling fundamentals
- Unity or Unreal basics (you pick one)
- Composition and visual flow
- First simple environment
Building with Purpose
Months 3-4Now you make levels that do something. A stealth section. A puzzle area. A combat arena. Each space has a job, and you learn how to make it work.
- Level layout and player flow
- Designing for different gameplay types
- Playtesting and iteration
- Mid-term project presentation
Atmosphere and Detail
Months 5-6A level can work perfectly but still feel dead. Here you learn lighting, sound design basics, and how small details create believable worlds.
- Lighting techniques and mood
- Environmental storytelling
- Audio design principles
- Polish and presentation skills
Your Portfolio Project
Months 7-8You design and build one complete level from scratch. It's yours. Your idea, your vision, built to professional standards with constant feedback.
- Concept and planning phase
- Weekly mentor sessions
- Iterative development process
- Final portfolio presentation
Next Session Begins October 2025
We're accepting applications now. Classes are limited to 15 students so everyone gets proper attention. If you're interested, get in touch and we'll talk about which track makes sense for you.
